Mr. Curtis Leroy Avant, 78, of the 3500 block of Mississippi Avenue passed away July 10, 2012 in Norfolk, Virginia. He was employed as a driver for Tidewater Auction.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Avant; two sons, Curtis Lorenzo Avant and Lionell Jermaine Avant; two daughters, Sharon Avant Miller and Angela Avant Williams, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A wake service will be held at Graves Funeral Home Monday, July 16, 2012 from 6-7 p.m.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Second Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
